I never dreamed that TMZ would ever ask me to do an interview for anything...ever. . I still have no idea how the celebrity gossip hub heard about me doing this, or why they thought it might matter. In fact, I wasn't going to do it, but a very good ministry friend reminded me that if you offend some religious people, but help some non-religions people get a better glimpse of God, you might be on the right track.

Making the Cut

In the past few days, the story about my going to Hollywood has been run in the Abilene Reporter News, talked about in a Dallas Morning radio show. Then yesterday I was interviewed by TMZ, none of these were things I anticipated when I was going out there. I was just trying to be an Extra for a local church sermon series. But you know what they say, We make plans and God Laughs.

Revelation and “The End of the World”

The Book of Revelation seems like the Mayans got to sit on the meeting where the put together the Bible. They just sit there listening and then snuck a copy of something in while everyone was on a coffee break. I imagine that the book of Revelation is going to be talked about a lot this year, so what does it really mean, and what is it really trying to say?

Christians may not always be the one to produce to content, we won't have creative control, or even a say (and granted there are lines that we should not cross). We may be forced into situations that we are not in control of but we can still be Faithful.

Why I Stayed

Christians are in Exile, which means that we are no longer telling the dominant story lines in our culture. And the only places that Christians generally feel comfortable really being in, are the ones where we can still have a semblance of control over the reality around us. But there are a lot of Jesus-followers (especially among younger generations) who are trying to wade into the grey areas of our society and be a blessing in whatever small ways they can.
